Natural Health Remedies, organized by the complaint. Please note that if you choose to help your body heal by using any of these remedies, it is important that you still have to seek help with a qualified health advisor, such as a doctor, as well, because everyone's body is unique. It is good to take responsibility for your own health but make sure that you are informed by many different sources, before taking action.
Chewing pieces of ginger or drinking strong herbal tea made of fresh ginger can help alleviate general nausea quite quickly.
In the case of food poisoning, drinking green tea can also be very helpful to recover quicker.
Nausea is one of the typical symptoms of food intolerance or allergy.
Note: It is important to seek doctor's advice if you suspect a poisoning or other serious condition to be behind the nausea.
Brian Rossiter, whom I interviewed, overcame both back and neck pain with the Egoscue Method, combined with a 100% raw vegan diet. He recommends Pete Egoscue's book, 'Pain Free'.
Also, for less serious problems with neck pain, massage or the use of bongers (self-massage) can be very helpful.

Copper toxicity can have a very strong effect on the nervous system, emotions and mental health, according to Dr. Lawrence Wilson.

According to Dr. Lawrence Wilson bioavailable calcium decreases one's sensitivity to stressors of all kinds, including noise, whereas low calcium contributes to hypersensitivity and nervousness. Calcium is a nervous system relaxant, he says, but many calcium supplements are not able to help the problem since they are not easily utilised by the body. (9)
Calcium is a calming mineral but has to be taken with certain other nutrients before it can be used by the body, notably with magnesium and vitamin D, Dr. Wilson says. Low quality calcium supplements can be very harmful. Calcium is able to relax the nervous system and is recommended to all women and almost all men by Dr Lawrence Wilson. Calcium deficiency is usually suffered simultaneously with calcium toxicity, because the good calcium levels are lacking and the bad calcium levels are high. Underground Health reports that practising lucid dreaming can help overcome nightmares: "Overcoming Nightmares through Lucid Dreaming".
I haven't personally tried to use lucid dreaming for nightmares because whenever I eat fairly healthily and 'clean', I don't seem to get nightmares anyway. Unless I sleep with a cover that is too hot or in a room that is too hot - these definitely seem to cause nightmares for me. But I did try lucid dreaming just for fun as a teenager and it did seem to work.
When I saw a Homeopathic practitioner back in California many years ago, she did seem to imply that nightmares were not necessary in an otherwise healthy person. In fact she saw it as a clear sign of imbalance. So I suspect cleaning your diet and lifestyle, by sticking to natural wholefoods and avoiding toxins, would help in many cases.
If your nightmares are PTSD or trauma -related, please read the entries here for those conditions as well.

Psilocybin of magic mushrooms has been shown to treat OCD and other mental health problems. Read more on this topic under anxiety.
Dr Mercola highlights the importance of good gut health in overcoming OCD. Read: intestinal dysbiosis.
Dr. Brian Clement, Dr. Mercola and David Wolfe all agree that weight-bearing exercise, even at old age, is key to strengthening the bones and overcoming osteoporosis. Wolfe also recommends natural foods and herbs rich in silica, which, according to him, is a better nutrient than calcium for bone health.
The common advice to strengthen bones is to drink milk, take supplements and to eat calcium-enriched foods. However, latest research seems to recommend against this approach. It now seems that dairy products may actually weaken bones and supplemental calcium may cause calcifications, which can be a very difficult and/or dangerous problem and linked to calcified arteries, kidney stones, alzheimer's disease, etc.
Yet others think that deficiency in bioavailable calcium may be an important part of osteoporosis, as explained for example by Dr. Lawrence Wilson (9). According to him, this often coincides with calcium toxicity and calcifications, when the calcium that was not used properly by the body is deposited in body's tissues. Many calcium supplements are very hard, or impossible, for the body to utilise but good forms of calcium from both supplements and foods are recommended by Dr. Wilson. Certain other nutrients are also crucial for the calcium to be properly utilised, he says. Read: Calcium Toxicity.
However, osteoporosis has been reported by Dr. Robert Thompson (in his book The Calcium Lie II) to be caused by a deficiency of many minerals and not just calcium. He states that supplementing with calcium only can cause a lot of harm, whereas supplementing with natural ionic trace minerals, as derived from sea water, is helpful (e.g. as bottled by Trace Minerals Research). More information under: mineral deficiency.
Dr. Rath Health Foundation website quotes a study where vitamin C supplementation helped increase bone density. (Note that vitamin C is best taken in its natural, wholefood form, which is very different than 'ascorbic acid', which is the form used in most cheap supplements).
The role of vitamin D in bone density is under debate. It seems that deficiency is bad for the bones but excess may be also. However, when vitamin D is derived from sunshine there is no danger of excess vitamin D. Read: Vitamin D Revolution.
Note that according to Jeffrey McCombs, weight control problems can be caused by systemic candida overgrowth. And, indeed, the most weight I ever lost on a diet was during the "McCombs Plan, an anti-candida diet.
Sometimes it may be necessary to use various detoxification methods to lose weight, as the body can hold on to fat reserves since toxins are stored in fat. Sauna, hot baths with epsom salts, drinking plenty of water, C-vitamin, and other detoxification aids may be a crucial accompaniment to any weight-loss plan.
